the l.e.a.d. program
The L.E.A.D Program is the flagship program of the Canadian Multicultural LEAD Organization For Mentoring And Training. The L.E.A.D. Program was launched in Toronto in August 2007.
The acronym L.E.A.D. stands for Leadership, Empowerment, Achievement and Determination. The L.E.A.D. program is a high school student-transition program designed for Grades 11 and 12 students as they consider their future continuing education and employment opportunities.
This program is intended to be a positive, life-changing experience for the students, with intense mentorship sessions that will nurture confidence and hope within the youth to empower them on their path to productive lifestyles.
All L.E.A.D. Graduates are commended for their P.R.I.D.E., Participation, Responsibility, Integrity, Diligence and Excellence. Having completed the in class sessions, graduates are invited to follow-up activities and are engaged in the mentorship of successive classes, allowing them to further develop and exercise the concepts and principles learned.
